We did it.

The Flag Picture

Every Gold Looper has this picture and it is definitely one we will cherish.

I ordered the gold burgee when we were in Georgia and we had it hand delivered when we got to Charleston, South Carolina by Kim Russo, Director of the AGLCA.

We had a great visit.

I hid the flag because Sam is very superstitious and thought something would keep us from our goal.

It didn’t and here we are!

We had a low key celebration and everyone kept their distance.

I can’t wait for things to get back to normal.

Sam gave his toast and then the champagne flowed.

Our Gold Loop Route

We made a video and wrote a blog post every time we moved the boat.

It was a lot of work but worth it.

See our stats, stops, marinas, and interactive map here.

    • Yes. Although, I keep catching Sam looking at boats online so who knows. LOL

      • I thought you were the one that wanted a boat with lower clearance so you could take different routes. Congrats on crossing your wake by the way. I enjoyed living vicariously through your journey. I would love to do the loop, I just know it will never happen. Great job documenting your trip, thanks again.

        • Yes, that is us. Sam is still looking at boats so it’s still possible that we could finish our second loop in a different boat. So glad you have traveled along with us!
