On September 21, 2020, the crew of the Here’s To Us!! cruised from our spot at Little Falls Canal Harbor Marina in Little Falls, New York over to Aqua Vino Restaurant and Marina in Utica, New York.

Utica, New York

Utica, New York is a memorable stop for us.

Last time we were here, we met other loopers and had a fantastic dinner at Aqua Vino.

We also, lost steering when we tried to leave the next morning.

Oh yes.

It was memorable to say the least but that’s a story for the next trip!

You can read about our original journey from Ilion to Utica here or listen to us here.

On this journey from Little Falls, New York to Utica, we went through Locks 18 and 19.

Only two locks.

Shouldn’t be a big deal.

But it was.

Both of them!

You can hear all about it here.

  1. The reason that I asked the width of the locks is that we are looking at a Fountaine Pajot power cat. I don’t want to get wedged.

    • That is the only lock I remember having trouble with on over 100 locks. It is rare but certainly something to consider. There is a width limit for locks in the Trent Severn in Canada. I think it is around 23-24 feet. So, be sure and research if you are planning to go that direction.
